On-Line Family Tree

The left frame lists the main people of interest on the family tree (direct ancestors and other close relatives). The list can be displayed in:

Alphabetical order by surname and first name
Chronological order by year of birth

You can also search the tree for occurrences of a specific name (surname and/or forename) and define the surname on which the alphabetical and chronological lists are based.

Each entry in the list includes a link to the record for that individual. When you click on a link, the record for that individual is displayed in the right frame. The on-line records do not identify anyone who was born after 1909 (apart from a few children who are known to have died young).

Please note that where the spelling of a surname varies we choose the most common spelling and use that throughout.

Listing of Selected Names

The left frame lists the people with full records in the family tree. These include direct ancestors and other close relatives we have researched in some detail. The list of names can be displayed in alphabetical order (sorted by surname then first name) or in chronological order (sorted by year of birth).

You can select the surname(s) to be included in the list. Normally people born with that surname are listed, but a check box allows you to include other people who used that surname, for example following marriage.

Search the Family Tree

You can search for occurrences of a specific name (surname and/or forename). The search will list in the left frame all matching entries, each linked to a record for that person.

Entries marked with an asterisk do not have their own detailed record, but are linked to the record of a close relative (spouse, parent, sibling or child) where further information may be found.

Those more distant relatives who have only a brief note do not appear in the search results.
